I live in NY and just picked up some Zebra Ottos at a LFS in NJ today. I have been looking for them for a while and this is the first time I have seen any. I figured I would post here in case anyone else has been waiting for some to come in around the area. I am not sure how rare or seasonal they are, but I have been hunting for ages with no luck. Another LFS I use says he only gets them about once a year.

Here are a couple of pics. Sorry for the quality, they are from my cell phone.

They are nice size, and seem very healthy, nice full round pot bellies ^^

Trust me these pics don't do them justice. When you see them you will be amazed how nice they look. I hope you can get some.

Nice link ^^ the ones that I picked up this week look exactly like the one in the top left corner of the link, and less like the one in the top right. They are really cool. They are a bit larger than regular ottos, and swim around more in the open water. Not a lot, but they do cruise by often. They really are striking, and seem to eat more algae than my regular ottos do. They are large enough to get spots on my Korelia power head that the regular ottos couldn't (probably because of the size). I only picked up 3 (they were very expensive) but will probably get 3 more while I can. They ate some Zuchini last night, and I will keep trying different foods, and post more info as I find out. The reason I posted this was to give anyone a chance to find some while they are around, hope you can find em if your interested they are very nice looking fish.
