Is this a good idea? I've been considering getting some Otos. I really like the markings on the zebras, but I also read they are omnivorous. Considering the specific shrimp are Amanos I'm wondering if they would be safe. Amanos can't reproduce in fresh water so I don't have to worry about that. Just wondering if its a bad idea.

I can't really imagine those small suckermouths swollowing whole shrimp. oto's mainly eat soft algae.

I have 2 zebra's with my CBS and they are fine. One of my favorite fish to date.

With the Amano shrimp, you don't have to worry at all.
They are absolutely compatible. Many people keep them together,
popular duo for controlling algae (regular Oto's though, the Zebras
are rare and expensive). By the way, my regular LFS keeps Zebra Oto's with CRS.

Yeah, I was quoted around $15 each for the zebra otos. I'm gonna see if I can get a couple, but I'm also thinking about adding a small school of golden tetras or adding more hatchets.
