Hello,

My sherrodplus parker went kaput on me a few days after using it. I need a reliable replacement solenoid. The Parker had 1/8 inch female npt, so I would prefer to keep to those specifications.

Regards,

I don't know if you have a solenoid now, but have you seen the "new" Bürkert 6011 solenoids with Buna-N seals?
http://www.barrreport.com/showthrea...noids-with-Buna-seals-...-available-very-soon

Another option is that Oreo contacted Parker and he was given a part number that has the proper specs for our use. 20CC02MB4D6F

These are some high quality solenoids that should give you years of use without "frying."

Thanks LeftC.

I'm contacting the parker seller to see if they have any more left. If not I'll go with the Burkert.

Can you post the seller's response? I would be interested in one as well.

Wait a minute guys. There is a bit of a mix up, I think.

The part number that I wrote above, 20CC02MB4D6F, is not the ebay solenoids. It is the part number that Oreo got from Parker Support for solenoids that meet out specs. You suppose that we can get them from Parker, a dealer, etc.

The ebay solenoids have a different part number, 20CC02LV4B4F. The seller said that I bought the last three that he/she had. The ebay solenoids are the ones shown in Oreo's pictures.

You can get the Bürkert 456786 brass solenoids with Viton seals now at different places. Also, AquariumPlants.com carries a slightly different Bürkert model.

The Bürkert solenoids with the Buna-N seals need to be ordered like the directions say in my thread. There is a 5 to 6 week lead time.

I see. I'll try and price a parker solenoid, with the correct part number, from the Parker dealer and see how that compares in price to the different Burkerts being offered.

Thanks

I haven't been able to find the 20CC02MB4D6F Parker solenoids

The Parker 20CC02LV4B4F solenoids like Oreo and I have are still listed on Parker's site. Maybe you can find some of these somewhere.

Just a guess, but I think that the Bürkerts may be cheaper. I've already ordered two of the Bürkert solenoids with the Buna-N seals. If you can wait, this may be a good choice.

If you can't wait, the Bürkerts at AP.com have the cord attached and the ones at ieprocessmart don't and are available now as far as I know. These have the Viton seals.

Also, I have two of the sherrodplus Parker solenoids that I haven't used that you can have. PM me if you are interested.
