beautiful fish LeftC, sorry I couldn't help with the fissidens. I had it coming out of my ears a couple months ago.

Thanks ShadowMac. I wish that I would of had my grow out tank ready back then.

If you have some more Fissidens, give me a ring. I can probably use it. I ended up with less Fissidens than I wanted, but more Christmas Moss than I wanted. So, it "kinda, sorta, but not really" worked out.

I will let you know. I've been thinking about adding what I have to cultivation plates to grow out better. I will toss in some geppii for you too, not much though. It is a very slow grower. After about a month in my tank I am seeing new sproutings of leaflets which are a brighter green than the older leaves. They are growing straight up from the old fronds. Should look cool once it completely fills in, like when i'm 60.

How do you remove the fissidens from the cultivation plates after it has grown? I like really that geppii, but it sure is pricey at places like AFA.

you know it actually may persist on the cultivation plates after it has grown. It came back on rocks that were dry for a couple months. The plates would have to be something that I wouldn't mind losing or keeping fissidens on. If I pull it off in clumps it would reattach to whatever it is tied to. It anchors VERY well.

The geppii is expensive and got it from AFA. It is neat. Looks like it likes to grow vertically.

Grew back on dry rocks! That's some tough stuff. :)

Since I have more Christmass Moss than Fissidens, I'm picking where I want to place each one. If I had enough Fissidens, it would be all that I use. But, Christmas Moss is attractive too.
