What is the benefit of worm casting as a bottom layer capped with Amazonia substrate? I think that worm casting is more expensive than AS. Is it practiced to skip fertilizer dosing?

WC where a response to having no KNO3, etc and not knowing about it etc............or the water column methods in general.
They did not have accress to these things, so you make do where you can/could.
They had commercial traces etc and light and CO2...........just no KNO3/KH2PO4, etc.........
