Where's a good place to buy plants?
I'm interested in websites and forums.
There might be some good places out there that I haven't seen yet?

What about ebay? I always see killer deals and hard to find plants. Although most of the sellers are from overseas, anyone tried buying from Ebay and had good luck?

I have had good luck buying plants on ebay, most of the time. But, when the plants have to be shipped from Asia, it is possible they will not arrive in good condition. I have had that experience too. The last time I looked at ebay for plants, the USA sellers had mostly vanished, but maybe there are others there now.

I have also had good luck with AquaBid.com - Sell or buy aquarium related equipment and fish in an auction format!, as recently as last summer.

The Planted Tank Forum is a very good place to buy. If you are starting a new tank and want to obtain a lot of plants of different species all at the same time, then you would do better in most cases to go to an online dealer, like Aqua Botanic Aquarium Plants Sales and Library, one of many that have been found to be good ones.

Yeah, I notice there have been good deals going on at the plantedtank. Best forum I've seen so far for great buys.

I really like that link you posted, I think I might buy some from there.
I talked with the guy and he said he ships out flat rate box for the 2 day to keep shipping cost simple. Ground option is available if you live around Oregon or Washington Seattle area, but not recommended for this cold of weather.

I have ordered from AquariumPlants.com Largest online sales / service site for the live aquarium plants & aquarium products community from them also and didn't think it was that bad. I've ordered 2 times from them and only got shorted 1 plant, but they gave me a needle valve/bubble counter as I couldn't find it on thier site so kind of a trade off. Shipping is expessive for overnighting anything. Oh and they held off shipping because it was to coldso a plus on their part, shipping for me was not so bad as I only live 4-5 hrs away from them so it may be better for you to find a place closer to you to order from.

If you live in an area that has an aquatic plant club, that is the best place to get plants. Many of those clubs give away, or sell at auction, the cuttings their members would otherwise just throw away. And, if there is no such aquatic plant club, you can always start one - it isn't hard to do, if you can be persistent and imaginative. I did just that, and in two years our membership is now past the 80 mark!
