I want to get a good underwater camera to take pictures of in the creeks, lakes, quarries, and rivers this summer. I've looked at a few, but I have no clue what I need. I just want to be able to take 7 megapixel photos of fish and aquatic plants underwater. Maybe under $300 ish. Any suggestions?

thanks,
Creighton

I have a simple, easy to use Pentax Optima.
Good to about 8 ft, easy to use, small, about the size of a cigarette pack.

I have one for sale too:)

I've gone all video now, so I really have less use for it and the normal non submersed camera I have is small and has more features.

This one is nice and no worry about getting wet.

I do not know, they run 300$ new, so 1/2 that is fine/fair.
If you want to blow more $, you have to take a much large cost increase or do the bags. Or the plastic cases(even more than most cameras)

What do you take video of? BTW, when are you going to the Amazon? My girlfriend is going to Peru this summer for Engineers Without Borders. They're camping in the amazon for a few days. I told her to net me some Discus :p !
