I set up a 9 gallon fluval flex about 2 months ago using uns controsoil and cosmetic sand. I have Ludwigia acruta as the stem plant, the inclinata just melted on me. I also have crypt parva, anubius nana petite and java fern. The left and right sides are looking empty now since the inclinata melted so I would like to add another stem plant that will thrive in this set up. Something very green or red! I won’t be adding co2 and I dose a all in one liquid fert once or twice a week. Any suggestions on a hardy low to medium light plant that will do well? Thanks for any help.

Sounds good thanks. I’ll look all those up. I just have a amano shrimp and two horned nerite snails in there so don’t know if they eat the wallichii? So Rotala green would do well in the far left and right corner of the tank? Those corners don’t get much light. I was going to turn the light up more once I had more growth in the narrow leaf Ludwigia to shade out the anubius and java fern on the rocks. Thanks for the help.
Rotala..all sizes and colors. R.wallichii is a buffet for anything that has the slightest taste for plants..its just too tasty to Rainbows and Ramshorn snails. You might like the Rotala with tiny leaves..forget the same. Its kind of a yellow-tan color and also grows very well in low tech.
Ammania gracilis is good. Loves water changes unlike many plants. Nice color too.
Bacopa..what a great looking plant when it gets going. I would say easy..just watch for algae..its got a low ability to fight it off..but otherwise its fast and full.
