What is his grass called? How do I get it to spread?

Hi all

This is my 5x2x2 tank. I Was wondering what the grass is called at the front a virtually in the centre of the tank.
I put it there straight from the pots it was in but I want it to cover alot bigger area, do I just pull alot of individual strands and their roots out and plant them around that area to get them to spread?

Yes, that is the best way to plant it. Small bunches of 3-5 blades with complete root structure.

Its actually not a grass. I think it is micro sword, lilaeopsis brasilensis.

Thanks, yes it is lileopsis, thanks for that, I am going to spread it out a fair amount I think, at the moment there's a few hundred blades in 3 different bunches,
