    well its like inline diffuser....

    I have a normal diffuser and its works nice, the wood diffuser works nice too but it clogs overtime and need to be remplaced. The cal aqua looks nice but is expensive. I will stick to the normal ceramic diffuser by now.

    A mazzei would do the same thing and wouldn't require the periodic maint....

    A mazzei uses the venturi effect(basically a vacuum created by a pressure change in the pipe) to suck a gas into the water. I made a diy venturi for my pond and it's very good at adding air to the pond, but it's also quite loud. I'm not sure if a mazzei would have the same problem because it has a co2 line connected.
