    I have this Ammannia praetermissa from dennerle. i got this plant all red. The new leaves coming green but I think is beacause of my nitrates are high ( don'thave problem with this). My problem is the new leaves show some darker colour on the edges. Can you recognize if I have any deficiency??
    (Also check the R. macrandra for deficiency)

    If these plants were originally red-leafed and now grow in green, they need more iron. Iron is the nutrient that keeps red-leafed plants red. I prefer the ferrous gluconate www.aquariumfertilizer.com carries for its texture and solubility.

    yes probably I need more ferts. I don't know my par but in 300Lt tank, I have 4 T5x39W with reflectors. My Co2 is drops 1.3 from 7.4 to 6.1 PH.
    I believe I must pump my fertilizers because I change 50% once a week. Maybe is more easy to see toxicities and fix them, than deficiencys.

    My first thoughts on deficiency would be light.
    Those two species are light hogs.

    My tank is running for two years. I did many adjustments with my CO2 and I believe I am in good target right now. As for the lights, I think is good 160W with two white and two pink lamps.
    I m sure I have deficiencys beacause my rotala macrandra next to this plant is growing very fast but the old leaves have many holes except for the upper part which is great.

    I add weekly
    NO3 = 11 ppm in 3 doses
    PO4 = 4.5 ppm in 3 doses
    K = 9 ppm from the two above.
    I raised my CSM+B dose a week ago.
    Fe= 0.35 ppm in three doses.
    Mn = 0.09 ppm
    B = 0.063 ppm
    Zn = 0.027 ppm
    Cu = 0.0044 ppm
    Mo = 0.0027 ppm
    With the water of change I add
    Mg = 12ppm
    Ca = 33 ppm
    KH = 2
    Before I found out I had Mg = 33 ppm and
    Ca= 15 ppm
    values in the water column before water change
    NO3= 35 ppm
    PO4=2 ppm
    Fe= 0.2 ppm
    K = 25 ppm
    values after water change
    NO3= 20 ppm
    PO4 = 0.5 ppm
    Fe = 0.05 ppm
    K = 20 ppm (this is strange).
    All with JBL test kits
