Hi all

I am visiting Washington DC in mid November, will be staying in the Baltimore region and plan to go to New York and Niagra Falls amongst others.

Are there any particular areas of aquatic interest that I could visit on my vacation and any other non-aquatic recommendations to visit.

Any precautions, places to avoid ?!

Thank you for asking. I hadn't been to the National Zoo in a long while. It's close to where I live, so I went today. They added an Amazonian exhibit to the zoo about eight years or more ago - a 15 minute walk from Adams Morgan. They've added some planted display tanks as you walk in. Beautiful wood hard scapes with low light plants. The larger exhibits have Fresh water rays, etc. Not over the top, not big like the Georgia Aquarium. :D

Parking costs $10/hr - $20 for +3 hours. Take the metro line and catch the H2 bus, or the H4, both will drop you off at the back entrance of the National Zoo. Just inside, Amazonian building to your left.

Oh well, at least she'll be used to the noisey kids. LOL
I'm only used to two!

I don't think she'll mind but, I do not like crowds, never did. Heck, I'll go anyway:)

Aftab,

If you are in town on November 13th, Discus Hans will be speaking at the CCA (Metro accessible).
While I have never been to his show room in Baltimore, if you keep Discus and you are able to get to Middle River, Maryland, make an appointment to see Hans at his store. :D
