I`ve played with this quite a bit and keep coming back to the original design. The 2 things I didn`t follow are the lenth of the reactor and the elbow to direct the current to the outside. I`m wondering how important these really are. I made mine nearly 16'' long to make sure no bubbles escaped undisolved. What advantage does the elbow bring?
    thanks

i think the elbow churns the bubbles making them dissolve better. especially when the original design where the reactor is much shorter...an elbow makes the current in the reactor more efficient and less bubbles escaping.

on the length though. I think it is much better to have it shorter. We've discussed that CO2 mist is the best way to distribute co2 in the tank.

What are people actually using for the elbow? Is there a standard fitting that works well?

Mist is useless to me unless I`m going to get another powerhead to blow them around the tank. Even at this length there are tiny bubbles that come out the bottom. They just rise straight up. Adding more would do nothing for me. The mist idea may be something I try in the future but for now, I want 02 bubbles on my plants only! :)
