Hey Everyone,

After spending the last 6 months making mistakes, learning and growing my knowledge of planted tanks, I have decided to try my first serious Aquascape. This is the first of two tanks that I am doing. It is to house a pair of my Ivanacara Adoketa which will be the eventual highlight of the tank. After spending time collecting all my Anubias Petite and Anubias Nana I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to showcase them all in a single scape. At this stage I still wanted this to be a low tech tank so I am not using CO2, however I will probably dose a little bit of fertiliser every couple of weeks. As I am often interstate for uni/work at the moment, I need to leave the tank in the care of my housemates so I can't afford for it to be overly complicated.

The Anubias is the main feature of this tank, however I do have some Needle Leaf Java Fern plantlets sitting behind the goldvine, however as they are quite small you can't really see them in the photo. I do feel that I need to add something to the branches of the driftwood but I am not sure what would fit in - I have some weeping moss that I could place strategically?

Also I was thinking about what I could do for the foreground, keeping in mind that my Ivanacara Adoketa are pretty destructive and are continually digging pits in the substrate so a carpeting plant would need to be fairly hardy to avoid getting uprooting - I was looking at UG, otherwise my other idea was just to simply use some Ketapang/Indian Almond Leaves?

I will post an update in a week or so once the tank has cycled.

Cheers,

Tucker
