I have been trimming the bottom off of my L Cuba and replanting the tops. This is working good but it is a pain in the butt to pull it all out trim it and replant it every two weeks. I have red that some people hedge trimming it with mixed results, some saying it works great and some saying that without the tops the bottoms go brown and melt. Just wondering if anyone hear has had success hedge trimming L Cuba?

The only is would melt is because they are not growing it well to begin with.
The bottom parts are extremely aggressive. you can easily do the hedge and trim tops and leave the lower parts to bush out.

+1. I snip off my main shoot and watch as 2-3 new nodes develop new shoots from the base. Then again and I got a major bush! Love this plant. Wish it grew just a tad slower though....

Ludwigia Cuba?
i sneeze in front of the tank, and this plant gets the flu. some cares needs as is not as her cousins as other ludwigias. somehow is very delicate. but a good regime of dosing (EI) will do the job

Thekillhaa,

I only have an issue with L.cuba inclinata if the c02 is poor.

Otherwise grows like a weed...........

Something sounds off if you can 'sneeze' in front of the tank and the plant does poorly (the 'flu')...........

What is your setup like? Light, c02, etc.
