I've personally never found Tonina to be that difficult to grow.

So the advice is pretty generic.

Light(you cannot over do this, more is better), water column ferts (Tonina has VERY weak root systems, so..........water column uptake will be the primary mode)
You should get an 1-2" a per week. Good CO2, but it's not that picky as many other plant species about it.

Careful trimming and waiting for small side shoot development and trim just above that.

They also grow well emergent and will branch far more. They transfer to and fro submersed culture pretty easily,. but I grow virtually all of them submersed. This suggest they are slowed mostly by uptake across a thicker leaf layer.
They do not like to be moved much. Crowding also can cause issues. The wood pieces and space around each group prevents some of that.
I've found this type of Tonina to be the easiest, nicest to scape with and propagate.

Hi Tom,
thanks for the advice!! I am having trouble with decay below the good growth. I have it in a 55 gal, pressurized co2, 4 WPG, Ada Amazonia II New, EI Dosing modified regimen. All of my other plants are thriving. Buces, L.I. Pantanal And Cuba, Belem and Manaus, Mini Butterfly, Guinea Narrow Leaf, Senegalis, etc...
thanks,
tim

explain yourself Vic.

Maybe nothing you can do at this point with the plant, i do not know, but maybe can prevent future causes with one more purchase of tonina and one last stab at growth.

First off show a picture. Will help a lot lot lot.

Then give specs and conditions.

Most Most likely, you have a co2 issue with this plant
