Ahh so close to caving and getting the TEK's over the ATI's, a bunch of great boxing week deals. and $1000 cheaper for the TEK's Only advantage I really want the ATI's for is the Dimable.

Could you turn any of that $1k into a controller/dimmer? The ballasts need to handle it though....Would that be worthwhile?
Please note the dimming feature and the width of these ATI fixtures are well worth the cost, at least to me and a growing # of folk...I can go from low to high light easily as desired. Also the ability to ramp light up/down with c02 is also really very nice..
The fact that they do no turn ON/OFF with full intensity is also nice. Glare is also much reduced due to the quality of the reflectors..
ATI also put out 50% more light than the TEK, this was verified using a PAR light meter.
You can buy a dimmable ballast and controller, for about 200-300$ or so.
