Sump Design for 210g tank

I want to ensure I'm not going to be outgassing massive amounts of CO2 with my sump design. I'm close to the final product (I reckon) and will be running a large pump at one end:

Do I stick a Mazzei in the larger final chamber on the right side?
Also is a cover necessary on the sump?

Many thanks.

Needle wheel = much better than a mazzie in terms of usage and consistency.
the inflow box 1st chamber will need to be sealed. the rest of the chambers are good/Fine.
In the 3rd chamber, you can layer some filter pads to do fine polishing pretty easily.
2ns I'd use 20ppi and a 30ppi sponge block, 4" thick swisstropicals etc......a pair of each ppi will do fine, you might want 2 of each that you can cut to fit the chamber size.

I honestly would not bother making those 2-3 chambers, I'd just place flow through chambers on the bottom and not try and snake them through.
It's easier to make and it importantly....provides much much more room for evaporation and backflow/replacement water. Basically you have only 20" of replacement volume in the sump with this design.
The other way........48", over 2x the volume.
