Hello everyone ,

I am new to this forum as to this hobby.

I am planning to set up a 61cm X 31 cm X 32 ( 60 lit) aquarium and it will be high tech. I have done a ton of reading here and there the last weeks.

Coming to the decision of choosing a substrate I opted for the Amazonia Aquasoil but i cant decide between the normal type and the powder type.

Which one will be best for my aquarium in terms of aesthetics , functionality, maintenance, longevity and generally for the long term being of my setup ??

Thanks a lot for your help.

Powder type just for foreground but if you do dry start for your carpet then not needed. Powder type just helps to hold better. I had read somewhere that one guy just cursed up normal Aquasoil to use in the front. The powder type has a tendency to make mess if too much flow is disturbing the substrate.
