Staurogyne Repens flat

    hi all
    this is my first ask on the site, (i am french so not really good english speaking)

    I have allways liked this plant , but in my tank it is flat , the growing is on ground and extend on every sides but no take some high.
    What i can deduct from that ?

    That is a low growing plant when you have high light. It only grows tall with lower light.

    Ok so just to much light for growing slowly taller

    We can see them on the right bottom picture (for answer to a pic request)

    If you trim staurogyne in place and leave the roots in, it will come back low and flat like that.

    If instead, you pull the whole plant roots and all, and cut stems of the best tops, 2-3 cm long stems. Throw away the roots, replant the top stems, they will grow taller.

    If the algae on staurogyne is BBA you have a co2 issue for sure , also it looks pale which leads to same issus , CO2

    yes that is, and i have fixed to more by checking a real drop of 1 or 1.2 ph so wait and see if it come better

    I want to make sure we understand your question. There are two reasons someone might want to grow taller staurogyne repens:

    1) Because they like the way taller staurogyne repens looks (pour l'esthétique).

    2) Because they want to grow more staurogyne repens for the purpose of propagation (pour la propagation).

    Which of these is your goal?

    I would say for the look , cause the propagation is already fine ( 3 times the surface from beguin in less than one month)
