Something looks wrong.

I have a new batch of fry and may have given them something bad from water I was culturing. A few have what looks like a small spring coming from their vent.

This can't just be food waist. What am I looking at?

The thing seams to be gone in the morning and comes back later in the day. I am starting to think it is poop. Thank you.
