After an incubation time of about 3 weeks the fry hatch and become free swimming rather fast. The fry are too small for BBS so a supply of paramecium and infusoria should be available.

Same Pseudomugil signifer fry at 25 days with bellies full of BBS. For the first 2 weeks parmecium and infusoria have been added to the tank. Having lots of plants in there also helps give them a steady supply. They mainly stay at the top of the water so do not feed with microworms.
