They Are Real Fans of Filter Feeding
Hi,
I cannot be sure from the photos, the Tetras are so washed out, I am afraid to draw conclusions, but they do not look like Bamboo Shrimp (I know them as Wood Shrimp), Atyopsis moluccensis. A photo even a poor one of them feeding will tell.
Atyopsis moluccensis has a thick white stripe down the spine (FishProfiles.com has an extreme example) with thin red horizontal lines running down the body, the base color can vary quite a bit, usually tan, brown, reddish or even almost green.
The four fans it uses to feed is the most striking feature, Planet Inverts has a nice picture. Atyopsis moluccensis stands up in fast moving water and uses the fans to filter the water.

They grow to 10 or 12 centimeters, molting once a month or so. They are really quite an addition to a mature planted aquarium; the only downside is they do not breed.
