Shrimp and Discus

Hi,

Anyone risk cherry shrimp with discus? I have a few Amanos that are big enough to escape the Discus. My 210 gal tank with discus needs more shrimp in it for algae control. Any ideas?

Well, if they a decent place to hide and you start a population in another say, 10 gal tank with air stone etc.
Then take the culls and see if they make it.

What size are the discus? My amanos are most decided NOT safe from the discus. These are 3.5" discus so YMMV but that's ignoring the much larger discus which I don't throw shrimp in with. My plan is to raise the shrimp in a separate tank and periodically reduce the excess population into the larger tank.
