Hi Tom,

I'm in the making of a new tank with the following dimensions:

L=40"
W=18"
H=24"
Volume=283 litres/75USG/62UKG

I would like to get the following done right in the first place:

1) Lighting - I'm planning to get 4 x 39W Arcadia T5HO tubes, each with individual reflector. Is this sufficient to grow high light plant such as Glosso, Riccia or HC? Will it be too much for the fish (mostly Tetras)? LFS suggested me to get 6 x T5HO tubes.

2) Water circulation - Going to put in XP3, using the bundled spraybar. I'm planning to split the outlet to the spraybar & also an internal CO2 reactor (dennerle). Could you advise on the best position to place the inlet, spraybar & also the CO2 reactor for best circulation?

3) Height of the tank - The design of the cabinet together with the tank & the hood looks good with the height of the tank set at 26" (instead of 24"). If I'm to proceed with 26", can I still stick to the lighting arrangement as mentioned above?

Thanks in advance.

Lighting is good.
CO2 reactor and inlet etc should all be close and hidden.
The outflow should point away from the inlet and the CO23 outflow should travel to the filter outflow so it can get mixes around the tank well.

2" is not going to make much difference.
