    A. gracilis or crassicaulis? Same thing. Tropica says that A.crassicaulis has a yellow green stem. No,it does not. At least not submerged and I think they were talking submerged.
    Does not need Co2 to thrive...Seachem iron and high light levels will do it. Not really fussy about anything else. No dirt is needed..no other additives. It's actually the one colorful plant I can depend on.
    I wouldn't bet on it being very long lived..but its good for a year easy.

    @Pikez

    WOW! This thread was inspiring to say the least. I read all 55 pages over the course of a couple of hours. The amount of information and lessons that you've released from these experiments are invaluable. I really loved that your methodology was very easy to follow and I found myself creating the next experiment in my mind as a "what if" type scenario. And lo and behold, you literally do the experiment that is being formulated in my head as I read this thread!

    I've found that in this hobby, there are a couple of dominant voices that end up overpowering everyone else. It can be hard to get issues solved, or really know the "why", when others are constantly shooting down the issues of others as if they don't exist in the first place. But these issues doe exist. This thread was awesome because it just grabbed the bull by the horns and got down to the nitty gritty.

    I really appreciate you publishing this information on this public forum so that everyone can see this.
