Hello, I wanted to get your advice on reconstituting Rodi water. I use seachem alkaline and acid buffer at a fixed ratio to achieve a ph of 7 and dkh of 4. I add Tom gh booster and discus trace. Any other way to do this?

Thanks

Hi,

Certainly many ways. :)

What do you want to do?

Hi,

Not sure why I dropped it and did not answer the question…

The first and easiest way to begin reconstituting water is simply aerating, mixing in air by stirring/mixing.

If you are using RO/DI to cut alkalinity or hardness then simply mixing in the tap water along with any amendments you would use is sufficient. :)

As long as you are mixing, you may as well add some GH booster and adjust the alkalinity as well as dosing any fertilizers as you normally would. ;)

In my temperamental tanks where I use de-ionized exclusively, I try to match water parameters as above the mix in some of the remaining tank water prior to returning the water.
