    Hello Tom

Just a small point of clarification needed here. When dosing nitrate and phosphates etc after a water change following the EI method, is it best to calculate doing rates for refertilisation based on the volume of water changed or the total volume of the tank?

While the difference may seem small, over time this may have an effect on growth, particularly in large tanks.

I'm currently calculating dosing rates based on the volume of water changed.

    Thanks

    Robin

    Robin, the tank volume.

See the graphs in the EI article.
These apply specifically to your question.
