Hello! I've been remineralizing my RO water with some tap. Is this sufficient for plants or should I be adding extra trace elements through something like Plantex? Thanks!

You need to add some Calcium and Magnesium salts for GH general hardness. Usually sulfate. Occasionally chlorides. Maybe add some carbonate/bicarbonate for some KH hardness.

[Nitrate, phosphate, and potassium] = macros. Macros and traces should be dosed on alternate days. Best to add small doses of traces a few times during the week between water changes than all at once like you would with GH.

Thanks! My tap water starts out very very hard, which is why I've been using RO with some tap. After mixing the two I end up with a GH of about 4. Just wasn't sure if that was enough for most plants, or if I needed extra traces on top of it.
