I have really bad tap water so I run it through a RO system, then to get the ph to around 6.5 and keep kh and gh around 4 I add co2 and seachem equilibrium and alkalinity buffer. What I am wondering is since I can't use my tap water to equalize my ro, has anybody used a remineralizing cartridge after the ro to stabilize the ph,kh and gh.

Yes I use a remineralizing filter. It adds back about +2 to KH & GH. I further condition with MgS04, CaS04, and K2C03 to get to 4 KH 6 GH. Many ways to get there. The dry ferts are a cheap way to do it.

All you need is the equilibrium and not much at all supplement your water change. Ditch the alk buffer. Pure ro light remin is good for discus. Are you breeding?
