Old ADA AS, I saved about 2/3rds, or about 3-4 bags. 120-150$ basically.

This has been washed and I pulled up all the compacted clay balls and sheets.

That works much better than vacuuming to remove the fines.

With water. I added the fish back today and will start on some replanting tonight. I added another 2 x 9 liter ADA AS bags on top.

Tom is this a standard 120 footprint tank? How many bags of substrate do you have in it? Sorry have been getting conflicting info on how much I will need for my tank.

I'll be using mostly shorter plants, fewer stems, but till the plant species I want are available..........I'll sub the others in place. I'm trying something different in the rear also and a the main aspect that will hold everything together will be the Riccardia.

Gawd, the hardscape is awesome, looks great as is. The woods will really stand out once the plants filled in creating contrast.

This tank keeps getting better every iteration. How are you gonna fit your hands between all those tangly pieces of wood? Seems like a pain for planting and trimming, I'm getting arthritis just thinking about it.

With the new aquasoil, you have no worries of the ammonia harming the fish? I was suprised you added them back in so fast.
