Red Slime algae???

    What kind of algae is this and how do I get rid of it?

    I don't have a pic of it. It looks like blue green algae but RED! I dunno...any ideas?

    Pics or a very detailed description will be required. Too many species to guess.

    Sounds like what I used to get in my saltwater nano tank early on. In saltwater its called red slime algae, but its cyanobacteria, just like bga. That said a pic would be helpful.

    I'm not sure what it is, but I know that is not red slime algae, looks like a pale thread algae, but there are others here who could probably identify this with greater accuracy.

    I know what thread algae looks like and this is surely not it. This is slimie almost like snot lol.
