Hi. On my 50 gallon tank I have a Fluval 406 filter. I have been running a 20 inch long Rex Griggs style reactor and Hydor inline heater on that canister. The flow has gone down quite a bit. Would I be able to use a pump like a Sicce Syncra to move water through the reactor and heater? If so how many gph would be ideal? Thanks in advance for your help.

I run a dedicated loop for Rex Griggs in my garage tank. I would suggest to higher but add a ball valve to control.

I use a Sicce Syncra 1.0 to drive a 20" x 4" Grigg style reactor in my sump, for an 80 gallon system. you'll probably need the next size down to do an independent loop for your 50.

Would I still want to use a syncra .5 with the head pressure of 49 inches since the pump will be down in my stand? Also would the filter pipes feeding the reactor create more pressure?
