Yes, you need to continue to "mow the grass".

    Hi Tom,

Will they die if I mow the HC lawn too short/low/close to the root? And what happen to those dead root and stem which are still buried in the substrate? If there are too many of those root in the substrate(by long term mowing the lawn) they any good/bad for the continuous growth of HC lawn? What action should I/we taken to maintain a nice HC lawn like yours? Am feel kinda sorry for many of the seemingly unnecessary questions, but they are quite logical to inquire them from professional like you in my mind, especially because I don't want any trouble in a long shot...... I dont like to replant HC, I just like to mow them like the true lawn.....if the cycle can continue to infinity.....

    THANKS!
    BB
    Regards

Looks like the carpet was allowed to stay too thick. It can be trimmed even more aggressive and still grow back. The yellowing in old growth might be low N

Yes, mow to the bone, till you see the ADa AS

Might cut this by 1/2 and then wait for new growth and then cut again closer to the sediment and then a 3rd time, go all the way.

    I am applying fertilizer
    Brighty K: 9ml per day
    *********
    Green Step 1: 9ml once a week 3 times: 3-5-7
    **********
Green batcer: 15 drops, once a week after water change: every Friday
    **********
Green gain: 15 drops, once a week or 30 drops after pruning,
