Propagating Giant Val

Is there some trick to induce a Giant Val to send out runners or do I just have to be patient. My Giant Val has at least 9 leaves each ranging from 16 to 18 inches so it is not a baby anymore.

It's fast growing, careful what you wish for.
I really would only consider the plant for 3-4 ft deep tank.

We swim down a river with miles of it in Florida, see the Plant Fest trip.

Looking at that river, I am satisfied that my giant val is not reproducing

And that's why I do not keep large swords and gaint Vals........
