Ian,
Last year I bought a Trigon 190 having to settle for the corner unit as 'er indoors couldn't be convinced to have a conventional rectangular aquarium elsewhere. I didn't realise until it was full etc of the distortion through a bow front. Check to make sure you will be happy. Also the light units are fixed and are just above the water surface. Retrograde lighting, if possible, will be VERY expensive. The 360 will have the jumbo filter. Jumbo being the operative word. I found the impellor rate much too high as anything in its path was blown aside as if in a gale. Not good for a planted aquarium. You can buy replacement impellors to reduce the flow. Other than that access is good but I did not buy the stand. Half a ton on a few bits of chipboard isn't my idea of stability. Best buys on Juwel see
http://www.royaldiscus.co.uk/index.html
They also arrange delivery.
Martin
Thanks Martin. The distortion is not good, I agree. And I do need good lighting. Back one step in the planning stage I guess.................I'll try a bit of lateral thinking maybe.

BTW you were right the prices on the link are good.........depends on delivery charge as to if it's a best buy.

Theoretically it's saved me £45. Got a lot of rinsing to do though. :(

Well, as our friends the French say " to make an omelet you have to break
an egg".... :D Bill

Re: Possible new tank for me.

Omelets are a lot easier Bill. At least I got a smile out of the Mrs. when I was out with the tape measure trying to fit a 6 footer in a 4 foot gap. I may negotiate with my neigbour to see if they would like a fishtank wall feature.................Then I could knock through the dividing wall.

BTW it's a semi-detached house, do they have them in the States? Or are all the houses like mini palaces like I see on the films (movies). :)

Semi-detached? I think we would call those "condos" over here. No, not every
one lives in a minipalace, silly :D Too much Hollywood! Sorry, I used that silly word again, so silly of me....

Re: Possible new tank for me.

I'm still doing the tank research thing. Think I've gone off the corner unit idea. There's a quality one that I have my eye on ebay, comes with 2 externals and a RO unit on a solid wood stand :) ..................A lot cheaper than the Juwel option. It's set up as a marine tank ATM but I could always throw the salty bits into the sea. ;)

Re: Possible new tank for me.

Well my planned ugrade has taken another U turn. I've got chance of a Juwel Tigon 350 for a bargain price with masses of extra equipment and 6 5" to 6" Discus for far less than I would pay for a new tank. All of the modifications that I would have done on a new tank are in place already. The bonus is that it's within 20 miles of my house. There's also a 24" and 18" tanks with equipment into the price. :D

Ian,
Don't let the former owner see you taking the Discus (Disci?) to sell to your
LFS :D Unless of course, you want them. :D

Re: Possible new tank for me.

It wouldn't be honest of me to say it's not crossed my mind, however I've always liked discus but never been able to justify the cost so I may keep them.

Here is the fish stock with the deal :-
THE FISH

6 Adult Discus - all bred in Far East

1 Blue Diamond - 5"
2 Blue Turqs - 5"
2 Red Turqs - 5.5"
1 Red Turq - 6"

15 Cardinal tetras
25 Rummynose tetras

3 Apisto Borelli - Male

10 bronze cories

2 Scwartzi cories

1 Peppered corie

1 Marble Hatchetfish

2 Whiptail catfish

3 Bristlenose catfish

All fish in excellent health.

I will have to modify my plans a little but the 24" tank in the deal will be the cherry shrimp breeder.
