You've seen the vid of the SF aquarium store that uses liter plastic Coke bottles upside down mounted IN the aquarium filled with Co2 gas? No diffuser..its used as the plants withdraw based on need.
I was wondering..if you did that and instead, blew into the bottle through a long straw, would that be Co2? I would think for nano tanks an upside down small plastic bottle would do..like baby bottle or smaller.
We exhale Co2 all the time...time to put it to use?

By volume, dry air contains 78.09% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen, 0.93% argon, 0.04% carbon dioxide, and small amounts of other gases. Air also contains a variable amount of water vapor, on average around 1% at sea level, and 0.4% over the entire atmosphere.

Exhaled air consists of 78 percent nitrogen, 16 percent oxygen, 4 percent carbon dioxide and potentially thousands of other compounds. Breathing at a Glance Humans, along with many other animals, breathe in air through their mouth, into their lungs.

    Compliments of Wikipedia and sciencing.com

This approach would be very weak IMHO! :D:D:D

ha!,I knew it was too true to be good. Never fails!
Well,4% is free and all you might need for a nano tanks is a bubble or two ...not sure what the rate is..per minute or per second? And plants do like Nitrogen.
Could be worth a try on 20 gallons down to the standard 5?
