I use 100 percent RO/DI water, ADA substrate, and pressurized CO2 24/7 with a pH monitor/controller; I also do EI dosing daily, use a TEK light and keep my pH at 6.2 to 6.5 - I can grow almost all kinds of plants but not downoi. I have tried a dozen times and it melts. What am I doing wrong and what should I change?

Maybe its the 100% RO water. The plants might need more gH.

Well, we KNOW it is nothing to do with the Sediment or the ferts:

I do not use much TEK light, only 1.5w/gal at 3 ft away for the light source.

I found that my Pogostemon helferi always grew better on diftwoods or backgrounds. Maybe we have to treat it like the anubias.
