The filter canister that I used to build my CO2 reactor (Cerge's reactor) has 3/4" sockets for the input/output, but the actual holes throughout the canister look to be 1/2". I bought an Eheim Compact+ 2000 pump and it has barbs for 3/4" ID hose.

Will the reactor itself cause problems because of the smaller diameter opening? When I buy the hose and fittings to make the intake and return, would it still make sense to use 3/4" ID as I planned, or would 1/2" ID to match the reactor be better. Or would it make sense to get a different pump that had 1/2" ID fittings?

Thanks,

Henry
