    Hi,
Is Japanese Hairgrass an identical plant to Eleocharis parvula ?
and does H. Maritima make a good carpet/foreground plant ?

    Please advise. TIA.

Last time I read about it most parvula isn't parvula at all but is another species called E. pusilla. Judgind by appearance this plant is different from the Japanese hairgress. Sadly I don't know any scientific name of the Japanese plant.

About the Hydrocotyle, technically you could use it as a foreground plant but you'd have to prune it ALOT.
