Would you mind passing along a link or the name of that study? I wouldn't mind taking a closer look.

If PAR is so consistent, I'm surprised that quantum PAR meters aren't more popular than comparably less useful things like pH controllers.

Just to make sure I've got what you're saying; the current price variation of MH bulbs is more of a factor than the variation of yields that are produced with a different spectrum?

And as an open question to anyone with an opinion; what's up with that UVA spike in fluoro/CF lighting, even with grow bulbs? Isn't that the kind of thing that spurs algae on, while having little practical use for plants besides recovering from UVB damage?
