Hi all,

I purchased these stems at the LFS the other day and am not sure what they are.

They have a strong stem, but lots of roots coming out at the nodes, like aquatic plants.

I think they may be bog plants, but can't match them with anything.

The LFS label said 'Amazonia compatica' which I never heard of???

I'll know soon enough and will keep an eye on it. It does pearl a bit, and will check for growth.

Would like to know as it is pretty...........

Here is a link to an album with a few pics..........

Thanks in advance.

Solved?

Had some time to do a web search and found a possibility.

Alternanthera ficoidea.

Per this link it is not an aquatic plant but a ground cover plant.

PlantGeek.net - Alternanthera ficoidea

The pic on this site looks just like this.

Plus, AAG is selling this as green hedge under the same Latin name as above and looks just like my pics.

Wow, the wonders of the web!!!!

Hope this helps someone else............
