Plant growth due to shading

    Hi Tom,

    In a thread I read here not too long ago (link below), you mentioned that plants are 'intelligent' enough to know if they are shaded by another plant, or something more static such as wood or rock.

    Did I read/understand your comment correctly? If not, please correct me........

    Can you link to any threads on this behaviour or what it is called so I can search?

    I find this very interesting, and since I use a lot of wood and plants in my setup, I was curious as to the aquascaping effects of this short and long term.
