Planning to setup a High Tech 50G tank. Dimension 36x18x18. Have a plan to run with 3WPG light. I have 2 options in mind.

    a. 3x55watt PLL 6500K

    b. 150 watt MH 6500K

Which one will be better in your opinion? I have a plan to go for a glosso bed and at the same time don't want too much of algae inviting light.

That's a lot of light. I can grow every plant with CO2 and 70 Watts of T5 on a 50 G (24 inch high). IMO that much light is an algae bloom waiting to happen.
