Pearling in an Excel only tank

I just completed my water change on the 55 gallon tank, dosed Excel, fertz, etc and my plants are all pearling like mad. I've never seen more than a bit of minor pearling from maybe a single plant before.

Is this unusual? What might be the cause? I didn't change anything about my normal routine. In fact, the only change I've made recently was removing a large stem of h difformis from the tank.

It's usual to see more pearling after a water change. Because of the water change, oxygen level in the tank rises so saturation is reached sooner. You also bring some CO2 into water which makes plants assimilate more.

Same thing happened in the 29 gallon once the water change was done. Both are still pearling an hour later. Just peculiar the extent of it. My nymphaea is so covered in oxygen bubbles the leaves look more white than red.
