Have been using Flourish Comprehensive for trace, but also have a pound of CSM+B that I ordered with Macro's a while back.(haven't used the CSM+B)
Am wondering if one is favored over the other as would not want to order more flourish(jug) when this one runs out if the CSM+B is sufficient.
Many thanks in advance, Lee.

Hi Lee,

I use Miller Microplex and CSM+B. This is my micros solution:

500 ml bottle:
I added 7 ml undiluted Metricide 14 as a preservative (or 10-11ml Excel) to the DI water and let it settle for 10 min or so then I warmed up the water a bit.
I mixed 3 tsp CSM with 5 tsp Miller + 1.5 tsp 10 or 11% DTPA + 1.5 tsp Fe Gluconate + 1 tsp MnSo4
Dosing 15ml 3 times/week for a total of 45ml/week for a 55g tank.
Before I bought Miller Microplex I used 6 tsp of CSM+B.
I have Macros solutions "recipes" if you are interested.

Thank you for the reply. My tank is 80 gal low tech, NonCO2, and currently dosing 15 ml of flourish comprehensive once a week,Macros once every two weeks. Just thinking ahead and would like to avoid ordering more Flourish at $30.00 (jug) if CSM+B would achieve same result's for less $.

I am sure others will advice you on this but, I see no reason why CSM will not work. I started with Flourish also until my # of tanks increased from 1 to 3. I also used TPN but, the price is just ridiculous.

I also used to use Flourish Comprehensive for trace, now I have completely replaced with CSM+B, and have done so for awhile. I noticed no difference when both were used regularly. IMHO CSM+B is more than an adequate substitute.
