This does not mean it only affects this site, It now means that billions of images across the Web now display an error message instead of the image in question. :(

Last question...Can I use a GH Booster (1 part MgSO4 3 parts CaSO4 and K2SO4) and Plantex CSM+B instead of Equillibrium? If so, how much would I need of each per 20 gal?

    Reviving this thread!

If I have a spare CO2 tank and regulator and I want to dose small bits of co2 for a non co2 method tank. Would it upset the balance? I been following the 1/8 and 1/32 with equilibrium weekly. With some co2 dosage, do I need to increase light and ferts at the same time?

When dosing 1.5 - 2x the recommended dose of excel, does this also apply to the dose after a 50% water change as well?

These are Tom's directions from page 3.

Excel can use EI directly at about 1/4 dosing amounts 2x a week and likely be extended up to 2-4 weeks water changes. But if you have issues or want to keep things looking good and on top of it, do weekly water changes and see how well you can get the tank looking, then try backing off the water changes later if you wish.

So a 20 gal using excel would get:

    2 w/gal light

    Dose 1/8 teaspoon KNO3 1-2x a week

    KH2PO4, 1/16th, 1-2x a week

    Traces, 2mls 2x a week

SeaChem EQ 1/8th once a week

    50% weekly water change

Dose 1.5-2x the rec dosing for Excel.
