I already had purchased a bottle of Flourish Trace before finding this site and learning about EI dosing. I have been using Flourish Trace as the trace for EI with the plan of getting CSM+B once the bottle runs out.

I just realized Flourish Trace does not have iron in it while the trace mixes people seem to use for EI provide iron. Due to 5-10ppm NH4 in my tap water I use RO water. I do dose Equilibrium after water change once a week which has some iron. I'm not seeing what I think of as iron deficiency in the plants but I am new to aquatic plants so I could be wrong.

What should I do?
A.) Don't worry about it and switch to CSM+B once the Flourish Trace runs out
B.) Buy and dose iron separetly
C.) Switch to CSM+B now and waste 3/4 of a bottle of Flourish Trace
D.) Other

Buy the CSM+B and a Seachem Iron bottle to use with your ST bottle. That way you are dosing the right stuff until you do the switch over.

Thank you fplata and jerrybforl,

I've purchased a bottle of Seachem Iron to use with the Trace bottle.

I did some reading on iron after your posts and it sounds combining some gluconate with the EDTA in CSM+B once I switch would not be a bad idea anyways. So win win.
