    Hello!

I am using 2x solar duo boy 13watt, but I want to replace the bulbs.
In an article I found on the internet, the aquascaper also uses solar duo boy 13w but he is using phillips 14watt bulbs.
However, in my country I can only get these (only 2700k). Will it work if I want to grow a carpet of HC or isn't it enough?
Maybe someone can advice me other bulbs if they are not good enough?

    Thank you in advance!

i am using solar duo boy too, but the 26watts type. 2700k is too yellowish. i am using the regular Osram CFL at 6500k and my plants are doing fine. you can try to order online if the 6500k is not available in your country but i am sure it is...

    Thanks!
I came across these phillips 14watts, they're the ones I need?

Can't find osrams of 6500k only 5000k and lower.

that's great to hear. yes, that color temp will do. as i said, i have the 26watts type fixture but i reduced the wattage of the CFLs I am using to 15watts. i was getting some hair algae before and i decided to reduce the light intensity.
