Moved my:
180 rimless
120 rimless
60 rimless
60 Rimless
38 rimless
then the move itself
Complete break down, fully loaded fish stock, fully planted and scaped.
Had some great help form the local club SAPS (thanks folks, freebies for life).
Moving the 180 Rimless is no fun.
450 lbs or so, strapped piano carts to roll it, once we pulled it off the stand, then used a lift gate and then strapped to the truck. A few stairs leaving, and no stairs at the new place.
A couple of 20 Gallons and 75 would seem pretty nice
New tank: ADA 60P with starfire glass.
Stocking: 8 Zebra plecos F1's, and maybe 30-50 CRS higher grades.
Still debating the scape, plants.
180 will have the similar wood and scape. The 120 started really looking like a decent Dutch style tank finally, then to only be torn down again.
The 60's will bounce back pretty well.
I'll take my time setting up the 180 again.
The others are fairly easy to redo and set up again, but time's a ticking for the plants.
Fish are housed in the garage and get daily 40-50% water changes.
New place is much nicer, great area. Sore and tired. I think it was worth the move, but part of me wonders.........
Maybe an open house in a few months.
Regards,
Tom Barr
